Suzlon looking to raise Rs 800 cr; invest in renewable assets

NEW DELHI: A report in the Livemint says that the wind turbine maker Suzlon is looking to raise Rs 800 crore from private equity investors.

Asia Climate Partners (ACP) and Olympus Capital Asia are the PE investors that Suzlon is looking at, said the report.

The report further adds that the company in the last few months have been looking to create an independent platform to invest in renewable assets. The said platform will continuously invest in solar and wind power assets as well as for developing the existing assets.

The talks with both the PE players are already in advanced stages and an announcement is expected from the company soon. Suzlon has appointed Edelweiss Financial Services to advise on the deal, the report adds.
