Man trampled to death in Angul

Bhubaneswar: In yet another incident of man-elephant conflict, a villager of Odisha’s Angul district was killed in elephant attack late on Monday night.

According to reports, the man, identified as Chandra Jena, was sleeping in front yard of his house in Julugaon village under the Purunakote police station when an elephant came and trampled him under its foot.

In may be noted that  a forest employee of Tangi forest rage area under Khurda district was also trampled to death by a pachyderm last night. The employee, identified as Surendra Behera, was dispersing elephants with others when he was attacked. He died while undergoing treatment in a hospital.
