Probe begins into Jeypore ‘infant mauled by dogs’ case

Bhubaneswar: Koraput Sub-Collector and Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) today jointly started probe into the shocking incident where a stray dog was found eating the corpse of an infant boy inside the premises of the Sub-Divisional Hospital of Jeypore in Koraput district of Odisha.

The Sub-Collector and CDMO today visited the hospital held discussion with the hospital authorities and employees. Sources said, the officials too verified the mobile recordings. The Koraput Collector-cum-District Magistrate has ordered a probe into the case.

On Monday, a stray dog was found feasting on an infant boy on the hospital premises. Hospital authorities, however, said they do not have any patient missing from the hospital.
