CM urges 670 newly recruited OCS officers to work with compassion

Bhubaneswar: A total number of 670 successful candidates joined Odisha Civil Services today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today distributed the appointment letters to the successful candidates and urged them to work with compassion.

Of the total 670, 69 persons joined OAS, 24 OPS, nine OCS, 396 ORS and 163 joined OT &AS services, respectively. This apart, at least six sportspersons and 15 persons with disabilities (PWDs) candidates have also come out successful in the OCS-201S.

Advising the newly recruited officers to work with compassion, Patnaik said, “It is the highest form of professionalism for development administrators. Use the 3Ts of Technology, Transparency and Team work to bring about transformation in the lives of our people.”

“I am  sure  when  you  retire  from  Government   services  one day you  will have   the   satisfaction of transforming  the   lives   of   people   in   whatever assignments  you hold,” the CM said.

Among others, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheswar Mohanty, Cooperation and FSCW Minister Surya Narayan  Patro, Finance  Minister Sashi Bhusan   Behera, Chief  Secretary  Aditya Prasad Padhi and Development  Commissioner  R Balkrishanan also grace the occasion.
