The unforgiving heat will prevail in parts of interior Odisha over the next few days. Bolangir recorded the highest temperature of 44.2 °C on Saturday. Titilagarh came a close second at 44 °C and 13 other places recorded above 40 °C.
Three more died in Sunstroke in the state on Friday.Temperature touched 44°C at Titlagarh in Balangir district.Two of the Deaths were reported from Sambalpur district and one from Anugul.

Mercury continued to soar on Sunday in major parts of the State with Titlagarh scorching at 43 degrees Celsius. Apart from Titlagarh, seven cities recorded above 40 degree Celsius. On Saturday, nine cities witnessed above 40 degree Celsius and Bolangir recording a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius.
